Carley for $5000 damages ngalnst General Sherman Bell and others, on the claim that her husband, John Carley. was shot and killed by the order of General Bell. ,Mrs. Carley lives at Joplln. Mo. Her attorney claims that her husband was n prospector and knew nothing of the uprising up-rising that led to his death until a few minutes before ho was shot. The attorney attor-ney also nllcgcs that the miners of the Western Federation of Minors were surprised sur-prised and tired upon without warning. About fifty men are named in the suit, Including Sheriff Boll of Cripple Creek. |
