What do you think of the leaders lead-ers in the Tribune and Telegram's .'rip.OOO contest'? They nro speeding things up at a groat rate and are making records lo the reaching of which every contestant will have to exort his or her .best efforts in tho future. Mrs. L. '.L, rann, district-4, lends tho contest, with 210.970 votes to her credit. Miss Faith Redman is second, with 160,060 ballots, and Mrs. Del Wilson is but -1000 voles behind her, with a total of 150,770 votes. There is a koen struggle- for fifth and sixth positions, now held by Mrs. "W. C. Prieo and Mrs. James Kinney, respectively. re-spectively. But fifty votes is the difference dif-ference in the vote totals of theso two enterprising contestant's, Mrs. Price having MG.025 and Mrs. Kinney 146,-375. 146,-375. Edgar W. Iempcl is in fourth position, with 153.SG0 votes about 7000 more than is accorded Mrs. Price or Mrs. Kinney, iuo of the (en candidates who are on tho roll of honor have over 100,000 votes, and Miss Josie Jlobba. who occupies oc-cupies tenth place, is less than 2000 votes below this mark. Last week there wero less than five who could touch the six-figure mark. 2sTow there are nine, with about ten others hovering closely around it. This gives a good idea, of the interest centered in the contest, the result." of the work of the past few days and, the large number of ballots which have been cast since Wednesday. Several now candidates entered since the last published report and they are all doing splendidly. There is room for many others in nearly .all the districts, especialb' in district 2S7o. 8. where there- are fivo prizes to bo awarded and but four contestants on-tered. on-tered. Miss Faith Redman made an exceptionally excep-tionally good gain during tho sub-contest and is now in second place. Miss Lelia Wilson is also a "comer." If tho prizes woro to bo awarded on the vote totals now. she would be entitled enti-tled to a first district prize, a vacation vaca-tion trip to tho Pacific coast. District No. 7 is especially weak. Tho largest number of votes accorded any one candidate' is but' 0900 less than one new yearly subscription to the Tribune and less than two now yearly year-ly subscriptions 1o the Telegram. Think of that. Hero is an opportunity for new candidates or for present ones to get a liberal prize in exchange for very, very little effort. Sub-Contest a Success. The sub-contest for the two double trips to tho Yellowstone national park, which closed last evoning at 6 o'clock, was a substantial success from every viewpoint. At iho last moment numerous numer-ous subscriptions' came in, and at this time several country candidates arc still to be heard from.
