T3y Associated Press. LONDON, July 23. It is believed that Dr. Ilawloy II. Crippcn and Ethel Claire Lcnovc have reached Canada. Such importance is attached to the clue that Scotland Yard has decided to send Inspector Dew to tho dominion to investigate in-vestigate Tho Canadian clue appears to have put new life into the Crippcn search '.oday. Tho police have been watching continental con-tinental points nnd examining shipping agents and others who come iu touch with tho trans-Atlantic passengers. It is understood that from one of thoso uitcrviowed was received the information informa-tion which caused the hurried departure depar-ture of Inspector Dew for Canada. Probability points to tho Allan line Btonmor Sicilian as the vessel which the police have in mind. The Sicilian sailed from London July 9, the day of Crippcn 's disappearance, and from llavro on July li for Montreal. She arrived at Montreal last Thursday. Thero is a possibility, however, that Crippcn and tho Lenovo woman are aboard a steamor sailing for Canadian ports on a later date. Tho Sardinian sailed from London J11I3 1(5 and Havre July IS for Montreal. Tho Zaaudyk sailod from Hamburg for Montreal on July 13 nnd Uranium sailed from Rotterdam July 1-i for Halifax, Hali-fax, N. S., and New York. Still Problematical. Word wns reoived hero this afternoon after-noon that a wireless had been received at Liverpool from a steamer bound for Canadian ports and stating that it had on board two passengers believod to be Dr. Crippcn and his typist, Miss Leneve. Tho Sardinian, which sailed from London for Montreal July In. is in mid-ocean mid-ocean today, whilo the Zaand3'k, from Hamburg July 13 for the same port, is nearer this side. Between the two probably is the Uranium, which left Rotterdam July 14 for Halifax. The Sardinian is equipped with Marconi wireless; tho other two aro not listed as wireless vessels. Superintendent FroeBt of Scotlaud Yard is reticent ns to the supposed whereabouts of tho wanted man and woman in Canada. It was learned, however, that the police believe that Crippen and his companion crossed the Atlantic from a continental port. Inspector In-spector Dew has been in direct charge of the search for tho doctor and his typist, and tho fact that he is to go to Canada appears to give added importance import-ance to tho new lino upou which the ollicials aro acting. First Real Glue. The present clue is the first of real promise which the authorities have bo-eured bo-eured sinco Crippen and his typist disappeared, dis-appeared, and tho bodr believed by the police to be Bell Elmore, tho actress wife of the doctor, was unearthed in the Crippcn homo. ? The detectives are satisfied that Crip, pen and his companion fled to Frnnce and made closo conncctio-n with a steamer sailing for Canada. They had timo in which to do thiB boffc the general gen-eral alarm asking for thci'iU-npprqhcn-sion had been sent out. Believed, to Be Crippen. By Associated Press. LIVERPOOL, July 23.
