Salt Lake City stands a good show to land tho general conference of the Methodist Meth-odist Episcopal church In 1912. The Commercial Com-mercial club and the Rev. Francis Bur-gctto Bur-gctto Short of the First Methodist Episcopal Epis-copal church havo extended invitations to the general body to meet hero, and from a letter Just received by Secretary Joseph E. Caine of the Commercial club It appears that this city has a good chance to land the conference. Hanford Crawford, a member of the commission on entertainment, writes from the enst that he will be in Salt Lake City Tuesday evening, August 2, and that he will then Inspect buildings and arrangements ar-rangements In general. If, in Mr. Crawford's Craw-ford's opinion, this city is well ablo to lake caro of tho convention thcro is little doubt that tho big conference will meet here.
