Show AIR CONNECTIONS AT MASON VALLEY Recent Developments "Resulted in Opening of New Ore Bodies. Both of the upraises at the Mason Valley Val-ley mine, the driving of which has taken up a considerable amount of the development de-velopment work at the property for some tlmo past, have been completed, nnd though these passages were driven primarily pri-marily for ventilation purposes, the work in them has resulted In the development develop-ment of new ore bodies of considerable Importance to the property. One of the. upraises, from the Number Four level to the Number Three level. Is 145 feet In length, and the other one. from the Number Three level lo the upper workings, work-ings, is 175 feet long, tho connections practically making a pafageway right to tho surface, first-class ventilation being thus assured. These rnlFcs, It Is understood, were driven through solid bodies of ore. which shows average copper values of from 5 to 15 ptr cent, the deposits varying In width on nn a vera go of from 15 to 1)0 feet, while In places they have been proven as wide aa 150 feet. Fissuro Possibilities. These deposits arc also apart and distinct dis-tinct from the fissures where the greatest values In the mine are found, so that the recent developments have opened up an encouragingly rich section of practlcallv new resources. The tests being made hv experts on the Mason Valley ores for the purpose of determining smelting possibilities, are of a most satisfactory nature, the va.nl oro reserves, the tonnage of which over a year ago was placed at 610.000 tons by competent engineers, having given returns re-turns which Insure satisfactory profits from the treatment planned for them at tho Wabunkii smelter. Now that the air connections have been made, the more rapid development of tho properly will be undertaken. Boston Ooppor Market James A.
