GAS LINE FRANCHISE: POOL AND BILLIARDS Special to The Tribune. PROVO. April 25. The Mty council at their ees8lon here tonight passed two ordinances, or-dinances, one granting u franchise to Henry Blumenthal and others, for a gas pipe lino, for a period of fifty years, and one mile of pipe line must be Inld within two years. The grantees agree to furnish fur-nish the city all gas necessary for their use at the regular rate. The franchise permits the companv to charge 31.50 per thousand feet for fuel purposes ami S2 for Illuminating purposes. After twenty yoars the companv will give to the city 1 per cent of their gross receipts. The pool and billiard oidlnanee wai also passed at this evening's session, which forbids the sale of any kind of drink In nool or billiard balls, or In the same building. All screens and bllndH arc to be removed from the windows and doors.
