This may be taken to mean that the usual summer quiet is on and 3ret there has been nothing in the nature na-ture of a slump. Investors are evidently evident-ly on the alert, as is shown by the two largo sales roported, the transactions transac-tions involving tho "Utah National bank building at tho corner of FijirfSouth and 3Lain streets, for $125,000, and the Euglo block at the corner of Second South and West .Temple si roots. Tn addition, the sale of small lots lias continued, and many new comers are purchasing homes. Building operations are being carried forward rapidlv. except ex-cept in a number of cases where lack or materials has hampered the work Workmen all over the city are busy as' a rule. A prominent real estate man called attention to I lie fact, that those very realty men who comment upon the quietnesa of the market do not, appear to bo disturbed at, the situation but rather wear cheerful countenances and are ready to step in at almost auv moment-and take advantage of any transaction trans-action that seems promising. As a matter of fact, it is known that numerous numer-ous real estate transactions are carried car-ried through which aro not given out, but. kept quiet, evidently from a desire to carry out other transactions and to prevent property owners being stampeded. stam-peded.
