Show DISASTROUS BLAZE AT SPRING CITY Special to The Tribune. MOUNT PL RASA NT. April 7. Tho Mount Pleasant lire department was called to Spring City Monday afternoon j Jo assist in fighting a very disastrous fire. Tho fire broke out In the dwelling house of Hemming Hansen, through a defective flue. The flames were fanned by a brisk wind which was blowing at the time, and In a very short time the home of Mr. Hansen was entirely consumed by the dames. Considerable furniture in tho lower part of the house was saved, but thnl In the upstairs part, together with a lot of clothing, went up in the flames. The barn, sheds and hay belonging to his son, Ed Hansen, Chris . Thompson and Mrs. Lamber were directly In the line ot i tho fire and were all consumed. Mr. Thompson lost besides his sheds and barn, eight pigs, one horse, a mower, wagon and a new buggy. The fire engine made the rpn to Spring City Iu thirty minutes, with six of the boys accompanying the wagon. They did excellent work and succeeded in putting out the fire before their return. Tho severe se-vere wind storm at the time carried the sparks to all the burped gheds and barns. Tho loss will reach several hundred dollars dol-lars for each of the Individuals who 'oat a part of their property. |
