Show New York's Vacation Schools. Over 300,000 children trooped into IH New Yorn's vacation schools, which havo .just oponed for I he summer mouths. Tho attendance laat year passed the half million mark and a muc hlarger number will bo given ia-struction ia-struction this year. Accommodations are provided for 600,000 children. IH School hours are much shorter than during tho rogular sessions and play is given a larger share of tho day's duties. Studies include sewing and do-nicstic do-nicstic science for the girls, industrial work for the boys, oasketry and city historical excursions and kindergarten VM and connecting classes for the younger childron. At the playgrounds there are gymnastics, athletics and kinder- IH gar ten work, and libraries and game IB rooms are also features.
