Show GOV. CUTLER MAKES TRIP TO SHOTS II Continues His Journey Further South, and Meets Number of Politicians. Gov. John C. Cutler Is visiting political friends who reside south of Salt Lake. The Governor departed immediately after af-ter tho first of tho petitions requesting him to call a special session of the Legislature Leg-islature to consider the- consolidation of the University of Utah and tho State Agricultural college had been placed In his hands. Thu Governor stated when he received tho petitions that ho would not glvo tho matter any consideration until bo had received all tho copies of the petition, as there were soveral copies being circulated circu-lated outside of Salt Lake. Tho Governor, after making this statement state-ment must have changed his mind, for he started post haste for Provo. The cause of tho sudden departuro is alleged al-leged to be prlvato business, but the politicians did not leave the Governor alone long onough while he was in tho homo town of tho Smootlte party's boss to enable him to purchase a postage stamp alono, so that tho Governor's private pri-vate business must have suffered in con-soouence. con-soouence. Cutler was in American Fork last night, whore ho is being annoyed In tho same manner as in Provo by theso politicians, poli-ticians, who will insist on "butting In" and Interfering with the schedule of a private business trip. This Is not tho first tlmo that the Smootlto machine has had the Governor going south, but then, purhaps, tho Governor Gov-ernor may gather up a couplo moro of the petitions while he Is away and. bring thorn home with him.
