A quorum of tho hoard -was not in town, and so tho mooting was called off. Tho bids on this furniture wero openod on July 2, and thus far no attempt has been made by the board to sogregato the bids and find out who. tho lowest bidder is. The Committee on" Buildings and Grounds has attempted to hold a moeting for tho purpose of reporting on the matter to tho board, but thus far all efforts to get tho members of that committee commit-tee together have failed.
