Show I STEAMER IS SUNK Rod Star Liner Runs Down Another Boat; Threo Men Missing. DOVER. Jan. 10. The Red Star line steamer Ynderland, from New York for Antwerp, collided with and sank the Dundee steamer Naworlh Castle four miles east of the South Goodwin lightship light-ship during the night. So far as is known only three members mem-bers of the Na worth Castle's crew of twenty are missing. The Vadnrland 's bow is damaged below be-low the water Hue' and her forepcak is full of water, but the bulkhead remained re-mained tight, so that there was no danger dan-ger of the ship sinking. The news of the accident reached here in a wireless message from South Goodwin. Good-win. A dense fog prevailed in the I channel all night long, but it cleared away when daylight came. |
