Show DEEPER TUNNEL MAY BE COMMEHGED SOON Report That Mountain Lake Company May Start a New Working. While news from the Mountain Lake proporty in the Big Cottonwood district dis-trict docs not frequently reach local circles, it nevertheless is ono of tno most interesting properties now operated, and local circles aro anxious to receive the latest news irom the same. It ras reported on the streets Tuesday that the M?'1"1 Lake management had betoro it me plan of futuro development along moro permanent lines, and while nothing d dilute di-lute has been decided, it was stated that the company may begin anotho and deeper tunnel to search the -heart of their resources. t It is understood that this new tunnel tun-nel will bo directed along tho vein from which such magnificent results have been obtained of late upon upper levels, and should this be adopted it is not unlikelv that the tunnel vail follow in ore each foot of the tvay. Thus, in development work, sufficient oro should bo extracted to bring moro than a working revenue into tho treasury. The treasury of the company, however, is in splendid condition, and there are no debts against tho organization. The developments upon the Mountain Lake property have served to awaken a renewed interest in tho Big Cottonwood Cotton-wood region, and havo also served to demonstrate that; this district is capable ca-pable of giving forth some splondid ores and values. It is stated that tho company has six feet of ore that will average $200 per ton in gold, silver and copper, whilo two foot of this distance dis-tance will average $500 per ton. Tho purpose, therefore, of obtaining greater great-er depth upon this body will be watched with great interest in local circles. |
