Maddox of 231 East Third South street "Wednesday continued the investigation investi-gation of the disappearance from this city of his i -year-old daughter Marie and 2-ycar-old son Roy. but developed nothing of importance In trying to find a clow to the man who is thought to have enticed them away to Ogden. The little girl sticks to her story that she and her brother met a "black" man a few yards west of their home, who put , thorn onto a street car. paid their fare, gave them candy and took them to one of the depots, presumably tho O. S. L.. where they took the train for Ogden. The little girl says that when the conductor asked them where they were going, she told him to "Sixteenth and Denver streets." the location of a theater In Denver, to which the Maddox family used to go before coming ho're. At Ogden Og-den she still says the "black" man told them to get oit the train and walk around, lie got off and lagged bohlnd thorn, according to nor statements, abut they got lost from him and each other. From the little girl's distant attitude toward them and her disinclination to talk about the trip, tho parents believe a drug of some peculiar nature was administered admin-istered to her. Ordinarily she Is bright and vivacious, but slnco her return from Ogden has been dull and listless and changes the subject adroitly when the trip is montioned to her.
