Show BURLINGTON FILES PUTS IN WYOMWK Maps Placed on Record at Douglas Doug-las Show Proposed Route of Extension. Tho Burlington has futhor developed the plans of its westward extension in Wyoming by the filing in tho United States land office at Douglas, Wyo., of plats .showing its proposed route. The route indicated on those maps ma3' not be tho final survey of the line which will outer Salt Dakc, but ifc indicates tho pronounced intention of tho "Q" to kcop pushing forward without do-la-. The plats show that tho extension will begin at Guernsey, the presont terminal ter-minal of tho road in central Wyoming, and will run up the North Piatt river, paralleling the Colorado & Southern to Douglus. The lino will pass through Douglas on tho west side of the river, and it crosses tho Northwestern about a milo byeond tho Platte bridge The lino continues across tho Fittermau flats, rccrossing tho rlvor, and continuing continu-ing up tho Platte and passing Carper about two miles to the north. From there it runs to near a place called Okie, then on to tho head of Alkali creek, following that utream to Bad-walor Bad-walor and thence westerly to Shoshone roservation line. About Shoshono it in all likelihood will make connection with tho Wor-land-Thermoplis branh now building southwnrd. Tho direction to bo pursued pur-sued by tho extension from that point has not been definitely docided, but Burlington surve3'ors havo made many trips Avcstwurd into tho divide to find |
