Show SYMPATHY IS EXTENDED TO MISS WHITE'S FAMILY Special lo The Tribune. MILFORD, July 25. A great deal of sympathy is expressed with the family of C. D. White, president of Beaver of C. D. White, president of Beam stake, whoso daughter Is among the missing In the steamship disaster. Miss White was 22 years old, gifted with beauty. Intelligence and a disposition that made her friendly with all who knew her. She had been teaching school and went to the national educational convention at Los Ang-ales. and later took a trip north on the iil-fated vessel. The excitement over the oil discoveries has taken .a number of our citizens out In that country, among whom are J. H. Keato and Bud Mayhow. Parties are daily passing through, and Modcnn. which Is the shipping. point, is doing a lively business just at present.. Men who" have visited the locality report that it looks as If the apparently exaggerated reports will fall far short of the truth. In the menntlme the limited accommodations accommo-dations are taxed far beyond their capacity ca-pacity and prospectors going in would do well to take their blankets and an outfit for camping. Tho Creole mine, closo to the old Lincoln, Lin-coln, and which has been shut down for nearly twenty years, has taken on new life and a carload of rich ore Is being taken out per week. |
