Show ORE FROM GOOD SPRKJS RICH Mountain Top Mine Giving Up Resources Tliat Carry Fine Values. CONTAINS LEAD AND HIGH ZINC VALUES Company Making Frequent Shipments of the Hock to Market. That the Good Springs mining district dis-trict of Nevada is capable of producing produc-ing bonanza rock, and lots of it, is apparent, ap-parent, from tho character of oro that is being sent into tho local markot by .lust one property, tho Mountain Top Mining company's Good Springs group, and this is merely one of the many that, could be mentioned. The Mountain Top property is especially interesting at this time, for tho ronson'that it has a lot of very rich ore in ihe local market, and tho shipment was followed to Salt. Lake by C. L. McCarthy, the general managor ol this organization. On Thursday Mr. McCarthy was no, willing to divulge the values of tho present consignment, preferring to nwnit the smelter returns, but he had with him an assay sheet of the past fifteen lots of orb that demonstrates tho kind of oro now being fouud. Tho rock carries lead and zinc, and assays in lend as high as 75 per cent arc shown, nil running extremely high even though less thnn these figures. The zinc ores run as high ns 'J.o.2 per cent to the ton. Manager McCarthy states that shipments ship-ments will bo maintained from this property, tho same being under the present pres-ent ownership and operation of prominent promi-nent Boston capitalists. Tho oro is the result of tunnel work, the chutes occuring in planes succeeding succeed-ing one another in generous number and in largo proportions. Ono winze, for instance, has a faco form S to 9 feet, all ore; while the management has drifted both ways along t,ho strike of chutes for one hundred feot. Mr. McCarthy states that between tho planes or chutes are stringers leading the minors from one natural trensuro vault to anothor, providing a very satisfactory sa-tisfactory index to tho development plans. The Mountain Top property is a part of the former noted Cnmpbell estate, and the present developments are entirely to tho satisfaction of those in charge, and the- shipments aro doing do-ing not a little to gain converts to the richness of tho Good Springs section of Nevada. Mr. McCarthy has confidence in the Good Springs camp. Results speak for themselves, and he can name over innumerable in-numerable portions of tho district whore results of splendid niorit are being be-ing obtained. The outside world hears very little regarding the camp and its great richness. Development, work is being done on all sides, and shippers of rich rock are numerous. Strong capital is interested there, and there have beon deals of magnitude consummated consum-mated for Good Springs ground that have never been given to the public for the reason that it is oro and depth wanted there nud not notoriety. Mr. McCarthy looks for a series of results tho present season thnt will remove all doubts of tho future usefullness of tho camp, and to this end tho Mountain Top companj' is lending a generous hand. |
