Cou-federacy. in honor of her father. Col. H. F. Bridewell, a former Confederate officer, whoso six brothers also served during the war. Tho event, also commemorated com-memorated the one-hundredth anniversary anniver-sary of General Lee's birthday. Speeches were made by Colonel Bridewell Bride-well and old war songs were sung hy the guests. Mrs. William Reid was the hosfess of a delightful bridge tea .yesterday afternoon, seven tables being filled with players Mrs. J. F. Caino poured tea in tho dining-room, and was assisted by Mra. Kenneth C. Kerr and Miss Jasamine Young. At tho close of the afternoon the honors wore awarded to Mrs. Frank Jennings, Mrs. Charles Post, Mrs. William Cunningham, Miss Elizabeth McTntyre, Mrs. Adolf Baer and Miss Eloisc Sadler. V 4 Mr. nnd Mrs. George Phelps Holman will leave early in March for Xew York, where they will spend some time, and vill be joined there by Mrs. T. W. London and her little daughter, Win-nifred, Win-nifred, from Portland. The party will then sail for Europe, where they will spend several months. Mrs. U.
