Utah's St. L,ouIs World's fair commission commis-sion no longer exists. Tho board took an adjournment sine dlo at 1 o'clock yesterday yester-day afternoon. They handdxl over tho list of tho exhibits to Secretary Cunningham of the Lewis and Clark commission. Thoso that will not be used at Portland were turned over to Stato Treasurer James Christiansen. Tho Lewis and Clark commission, including in-cluding tho Governor, leaves at 10 o'clock today for Portland. Tho exhibits that will bo used aro already at tho Short Lino depot ready to bo shipped away. The commission has S30.000 In cash and exhibits exhib-its to tho value of about $2J,(J on hand. The concentrating mUl ulone Is conceded to be worth $10,000. Treasurer's Final Report. Treasurer Willis Johnson of the SL Louis commission made his ilnal report to Gov. Culler yesterday. It shows that the commission wound up with S1C.C1 on hand. Tho treasurer received on January 21 from tho attornoy of John Q. Cannon $2131.12, and on March L7. $7595.70 from the American Ameri-can Smelting and Refining compnnv for concentrates turned In by Dlrector-Gon-eral Whitaker. Tho total cash received this year amounted to SOCCS.O"..'. The disbursements dis-bursements wero S0C01.7-I. What the Exhibits Are. Tho exhibits turned over to the Lewis and Clark rommlsslon consisted of ninety cases containing the maehlnerv of the concentrating mill, eighty-four cases containing con-taining mining exhibits, twenty cases containing con-taining plate-glass show cases, twentv eases containing twenty oak tables, two cases containing legs for tho tables, llvo cases containing pictures, sjeven containing contain-ing hydrocarbon, one trunk containing raw silk and decorations and twenty-four cases containing the educational exhibits. |
