Show BRACE OF SUICIDES. Prominent Attorney and a Traveling Salesman Kill Themselves. CLEVELAND, O . March IS. Henry L. Woodward, an attorney of Now York city, and Q. A Brouso of Wadsworlh, O., a travollnp salesman, committed sulcldo in their rooms at the Hollcnden hotel during dur-ing last night or today Tho bodies of both men woro found this afternoon. The Coroner's verdict In each case gives tlespondonry over domestic and business troubles as tho cause of tho suicide Each man had used a pistol and had sent a bullet into his head In almost the samo spot, death la each case being Instantaneous. In-stantaneous. So far ns is known thero was no agreement between tho men to end their lives. Coroner SWeelsteln said that a number of letters had been found In Woodward's possesion from his wlfo which showed thut Woodward evidently had been suffering suffer-ing from despondency. Tho letters were affectionate In tone, and pleaded for Woodward's return homo nnd for a reply to tho letters. Woodward was an attorney, attor-ney, and had been In partnership with Robert P. Cummlngs at 315 Liberty street. New York, and tho two forming tho law partnership of Cummlngs Sz Woodward. Tho partnership had been dissolved somo tlmo ago, and Woodward became a traveling travel-ing salesman for a law publishing com-, pany. Woodward was a brother of Jus-tlco Jus-tlco John 1C. Woodward of the. New York Supreme court, and a brother-in-law of Steven A. Stranahan, collector of the port of New York. |
