Babcock had decided to return to active railroading and had accepted a traffic position with the Missouri Pacific. It Is also a matter of record that when the two roads wore combined locally and there was no further need, according to tho management, of two complete sots of high trafllc officials, that Mr. Babcock, whoHc ability was recognized, was offered a good position In Texas, which he had to decline. |
