Tho nrtlclcs of agreemont under which It 13 proposed to comblno tho Massachusetts Instltuto of Technology and Harvard university pro-vldo pro-vldo for a Joint school of Industrial i sciences, to bo known under tho present namo of tho Institute of Technology, to he governed by nn cxccutlvo board of nine members, of which threo shall represent Harvard, and to bo maintained by present pres-ent Institution funds, augmented by tho Income of all funds of tho LawrCnco Scientific school, by thrce-flftho of tho not Incomo which might accrue from the Gordon-McKay bequest of several millions, mil-lions, nnd by tho Income of all property i which Harvard may heroafter acquire for the promotion of Instruction In Industrial i sciences. The president and treasurer of tho In-I In-I slltutc aro to be respectively president i and treasurer of tho executive commlttco ' and tho faculty Is to consist of tho teaching teach-ing force of both schools. Tho denart-, denart-, mont of architecture of each Institution is not Included in tho union plan. After thrco years tho Lawrence Sclon-1 Sclon-1 tlflc school Is to bo discontinued If tho Instltuto Is then prepared In Its new location lo-cation to give all needed Instruction In Industrial sclonces to the students of that ' school, nnd all machlnory, Instruments and equipment of tho school Is to bo I transferred to tho Instltuto.
