Show DEATH OF MRS PICKER WollKnown Woman Called to Her Howard Sirs Caroline Picker one of the early ECttleni of Utah who came here from Iowa In ISSo was called to her reward al 1215 on the afternoon of June 21th Death was duo to uraemia Her last hours were toothed by the pruiicncc of her oonn daughter and hiiHhaml and the Christian faIth that robs death of Its sting and the grave of its victory Mrs Picker wan born at Mount Vcr non Knox county Ohio In I84U She removed re-moved with her parents to Iowa and thence to Utah By her first husbandS S r I Mrs Caroline Picker she had nine children of whom eight survive She married 33 Jl Picker in 1892 The funeral services were held from the Third Ward meeting house Friday Fri-day afternoon and were conducted by l3I hop Hodgson and Elder l Joseph Mc Murrin The music furnished by the ward choir and Miss Luclla Fcrrln was beautiful and touching During the service at the grave Mrs Tattle Iloyt a daughter of the deceased fainted away and was not restored to consciousness con-sciousness for some time Besides the hundreds friends In Salt Lake who mourn the loss of a noble woman Mrs Pickers death will be lamented by large circles of ac qualnlances In Ogden Coalvlllo and other places where she was known |
