Wood yesterday submitted sub-mitted to the Board of County Commissioners Com-missioners for confirmation the appointment ap-pointment of his wife Mrs J G Wood as deputy Auditor at a salary of 75 0 I month The appointment was confirmed con-firmed Hitherto the duties of the position po-sition have been performEd by Clerk Hill who resigned on November 30th I There was 3 great deal of displeasure opposition to the petition and the board declined to grant the petition on the condition that a small schoolhouse should be built to accommodate the children It was proposed pro-posed to benefit by the creation of the new district I was represented to the board yesterday that the trustees of the Taylorsvllle district had failed to erect the schoolhouse contemplated and in view of that representation the petition for the creation of the new district was granted A petition for permission for a change of line of electric wire from Big Cottonwood by way of Bingham Junction Junc-tion to Salt Lake was granted The petition was presented by Engineer Heywood of the Utah Light and Power company The object of the proposed change is to provide light for the smelters REGRETTED HIS GENEROSITY
