Show 3 Utahns Named To Attend Meet Of Advisory Council Briant H. Stringham, Vernal; Kumen S. Gardner, Cedar City, and Othel L. Pay, Nephi, will be Utah's sheep, cattle and wildlife representatives on the National Advisory Board Council which meet in Albuquerque, N. M., on Feb. 19-21. This 22nd annual meeting of the National Advisory Board Council of the U. S. Bureau of Land Management will discuss matters pertaining to the use and management of the 168 million mil-lion acres constituting the Na- tional Land Reserve, according to announcement of the U. S. Department of the Interior. R. D. Nielson, BLM state director di-rector for Utah, also will attend the sessions, as will BLM state directors from the Western states In addition to council members and BLM state directors from 10 public land states of the West, conference participants will include in-clude Karl L. Landstrom, Bureau of Land Management National Director, and members of his staff. A major policy address by Assistant As-sistant Secretary of the Interior John A. Carver, Jr., on use of the National Land Reserve by the livestock industry. |
