Fourth East, completed two weeks of combat training at Pike Natiional Forest in Colorado Colo-rado with other personnel from the 1st Division's 5th Infantry recently. Designed to improve individual indi-vidual and unit combat efficiency the training included some cold weather operations and mountain moun-tain warfare tactics. The rugged terrain of the Forest and the average November temperatures ranging to five below zero make this area suitable for such training. train-ing. Aho, a gunner in the infantry Company D, which is regularly located at Fort Riley, Kansas, entered en-tered the Army in July. |
