Show Girl Scouts Start Sale of Cookies The Girl Scout sales staff of 8,000 Brownies, Intermediates, and Senior Scouts is heading in to the closing days of the special cookie sale this week end. Advance Ad-vance orders are being taken for five varieties of cookies to be delivered in March. With the 50th birthday anniversary of Girl Scouting bing observed this year, customers are being urged to buy at least one box for each decade of Girl Scouting. Mrs. James T. Garrison of Ogden, the 1962 State Cookie chairman, reports re-ports an excellent response to this appeal to date. The Utah Girl Scout Council is looking forward to a banner year in the three established camps, Cloud Rim near Park City. Red Cliffe near Ogden and Trefoil near Provo," Mrs. John S. Erickson, president of Utah Council reports. "The success of the Cookie Sale is important to the improvement and maintenance mainten-ance of these camps, since proceeds pro-ceeds from the sale go toward this as well as local troop activity activ-ity and camperships for qualified quali-fied Girl Scouts wishing to attend at-tend one of the camps," she said. Local Girl Scouts will continue their door bell ringing asking for advance orders through Feb. 19th. |
