Henry Stover was driving his young mare hitched to a brand new cart, on Brigham street yesterday afternoon, when the animal became frightened at something, the rein broke, and Henry was dumped unceremoniously unceremo-niously in the dust and scooted off on his own hook the Lord knows where. Henry has not found either mare or cart up to date. At the trial of Elsie St. Omer this morn-ing morn-ing Deputy Marshal Swan testified that Hugh Glcnn'a commission a a deputy had been revoked. This is a fact although Mr Glenn was not aware of it until after the testimony tes-timony was given when he called on Marshal 1'arsons who was not certain of the point himself. An investigation however showed Bach to be the case and Glenn has innocently been doing duty where he had no right. Passers by were attracted by a singular sight at 29 South Fourth East Sunday. A young man apparently 25 was seen with his head in a barrel shouting "papa" at the top of his voice. Investigation proved that the youth is named A. t. Charon, and that he w as not out of his mind as at first supposed. In reply to a query as to what was the matter mat-ter he replied: "Nothing is the matter. I'm the father of a nine-pound boy, and I'm practicing to see how it sounds to be called papa," and diving again Charon resumed lis occupation.
