But coupled with oth-er advances such as the Foreign Tuning System, the new Spread-Ban- d Dial, true High-Fidelit- y Tone, Automatic Tuning and a dozen others, these sets are apart from all others In efficiency and per- - formance." . Mr. Cowdel reports that public demand for the new sets Indicates a most busy and profitable summer season. Already he is making plans to have sufficient sets on hand to satisfy the steadily increasing de-mand that is expected. 1937 PHILCO JUDGED OUTSTANDING OF YEAR One of the many advances incor-porated in several of Philco's high-er priced 1937 radios Is what is called magnetic tuning, According to E. J. Cowdel of the Bingham Radio "Shop, local Phllco dealer, this feature is one of the greatest radio improvements of the year. "Magnetic tuning", Mr. Cowdel says, "gives to radio set operation an accuracy and precision hereto-fore impossible. By means of spec- - ial electrical circuits and apparatus, this feature works in a manner similar to that of a simple magnet so that when the owner tunes the set close to the frequency of any strong station, magnetic tuning goes into operation, putting the set on the exact frequency and hold-ing it there as long as the owner desires to listen." The result of this feature, Mr. Cowdel explains, is that tuning is eliminated, mak-ing distorted tone due to improper tuning an impossibility. "This radio advance by itself," he declares, "would make the new Utah Industrial Baseball League 1936 Last Half Schedule July 19 Gemmell at U. S. Mines; Pinney at Provo. July 22 Provo at U. S. The Golden Text: "This Is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent," is from John 17:3. The lesson - sermon also inclu-des the Bible passage: "Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her" (Pro-verbs 3:13,18); and the following correlative from the Christian Sci-ence textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," by Mary Baker Eddy: "We apprehend Life in divine Science only as we live above corporeal sense and cor-rect it. Our proportionate admission of the claims of good or of evil de-termines the harmony of our ex istence,--ou- r health, our longivity, and our Christianity." (p. 167).
