model isskin lit that the shaft and groove for securing stud are omitted the guide rif Is 13 also cut away on the left we side to lighten the piece the butt plate la Is thicker curved at the toe and capped tor for holding jointed ramrod ejector pin pill la Is straight without bent head the front sight has been slightly thickened the ramrod differs from the model in that it la in made in screw lieutenant from illinois on the of january 1667 and was assigned to duty with the twenty seventh infantry lie he was promoted to the grade of first lieutenant on the 2nd and of august 1867 and
