venture to enter the arena must be prepared to receive or parry blows and thrusts of many assailants for It is safe to predict pre predict dict that he will be compelled either to defend himself or retreat for the hosts who iwho have broken spears and javelins over each others heads in the battle royal which they have waged among themselves will declare an armistice for the express purpose of punishing anyone who may venture to invade the field or enter the lists from a new quarter He then fearlessly proceeds by Unanswerable logic to demonstrate that I the exercise of the hypnotic influence I on OR any subject Is a psychological crime and pillories those thore who practice it in these words These men stand before the world charged with the offense ottense of practicing an art which has for its purpose the enslavement of the souls of their fellow men But the crime of which they stand accused before the bar of public conscience is not that of mere physical slavery It is the slav slavery slavery slavery ery of the human soul The author analyzes and picks to pieces the theories theo theories theories ries of Professor Gregory De Lawrence and other writers on this subject A
