DIES HIS ENGINE NOINE I M C Gardner a Fireman Killed at Promontory Point by Accident M 31 C Gardner a locomotive fireman In Inthe inthe the employ of the Southern Pacific was run over by his engine and instantly killed at Promontory Point early last evening At the time of the accident the engine was backing up to the wa va water water vater ter tank Gardner climbed from the cab cabon cabon cabon on to the tender and apparently app intended getting off orr at the tho tank to get a drink of water In some way he missed his footing and was thrown on to the rails beneath the wheels of the tender Gardner was 25 6 years ears old a single man and lived In Ogden He has a mother living at Tex The body was brought to Ogden on the Overland Lim Limited LImIted Limited last night
