Show Theatre, "Not Such a Fool as Ho Looks" and tho '"Dead Shot" were repeated last night. This evening Captain John Martin's new play, " Tho Hermit of the Cave" will bo presented for tho first timo. The cast embraces Miss Walters as Alicia, the heroino of tho story ; Miss Kent as, Sally, a buxom widow who keeps an inn ; Miss Simons as Peggy, the chambermaid of tho aforesaid inn, i and tho flame of Toby; Mr?. Bird as Lady Egrcmont, whoso two sons givo the groundwork for tho drama ; Mr. Cogswell as ono of thoso eons, the hero of tho piece, and whoso fate forma the mystery of tho hermit of tho cave; Mr. Thome as Gaston, tho other son, and tho older brother, in lovo with Alicia, tho rival of his brothor, and tho dupo of de Lirmo ; Mr. Foster as Sir Lionel, father to tho two two brothers; Mr. Dudley as do Lirme, a scheming villain and an adtuto one, who is finally final-ly foiled in a manner little expected; Mr. Maiben as Luke, tho gamekeeper to Sir Lionel ; Mr. J. A. Thompson Thomp-son a Ash ton, the original of tho oovo ; and Mr. Graham as Toby Trickster, who has a mania for snaring hutw and rhyming doggrcl, with, a wwin aflVotiou for the ohambcrmaid Pogy. Tho piece will bn tbund to make an excellent entertainment, enter-tainment, and though the lirt venture of captain M.-r(iu as" a dramatic author, is far superior to many of llio dramas nightly presented in tho prominent theatres of lending ciuct.
