Mr. Isaac Hunt, of the 11th ward, and two of his children, chil-dren, on Suuday, were taken with purgine and cramp, and tho sickness appearing to be of a serious nature, Dr. Anderson was sent for, who, upon questioning them, concluded that it was the result of a compound in some imported Bologna sausages, they had purchased on Saturday at the meat market, and partaken of on Sunday Sun-day morning. They were treated for this symptom and soon became easier. The Doctor is determined to analyze the remaining portion of the meat, and we may lay the result of the analyza-tian analyza-tian before the public soon. Those dealers who make importations of food ought to be cautious in making their purchases, and, we think, should be responsible res-ponsible foruch effects of goods they vend for public use. |
