S N Lee Wilford Reader and the Misses Madson sang several free Methodist liymns with much spirit The notion song by the little primary pri-mary girls of the First ward was as sweet and pretty as war wa a L 3 Lund and others of the Fourth V ward sang C pretty quartette The Deacons Roller Skates a comic recitation by John Baird made all have a good laugh V The selection on the dulsimer by James Young was a unique Ceature f the programme V Amelia Graeh Isabel Forrest < Mrs George Watkins and Mary Hoist sang a pretty quartette The audience enjoyed the violin quartette lead with Magus Benson playing The duet by Hattie Wight and Mrs Brig Hampson was the Ramble by Even Stephens Another composition by Stephens The Serenade was given by members mem-bers of the Second ward Sunday school MANTUA WITHDRAWS At the first meeting of our new city council Mantua the little village at the east end of Box Elder canyon was allowed to withdraw from Brigham City This wU be a mutual advantage advant-age as Mantua was too far away to I feel much interest in Brigham City while each year more money was spent on the Mantua roads than all I their city taxes amounted to I All our intellectual young men and maidens who are pursuing their studies in Salt Lake Provo and Logan have returned to their labors after spending the holidays with their parents par-ents Some of our wouldbe sports are try ing to organize a shotgun club There are many organizations our town needs more So far this has been an ideal winter Not cold enough but what it is pleasant pleas-ant to be out of doors and there is snow bicycles out for a run down to Price Everything went smooth until about half way when Millers unt bike Miers got onto a sheet of ice and became unman ageable throwing him to the ground I with force
