Show I TWO MORE ARE MISSING Cousins of the Murdered Man Albert Hays SUPPOSED TO BE ALSO DEAD I THE OFFICERS THINK THE SAME HAND MURDERED ALL THREE I II I II I Inquest at Lehl Yesterday on the I Body of Hajs Utah Lake ViI He Dragged to Find the Bodies of the Other Two Missing MenThe G I Men-The Herald yesterday contained the story or the finding of the dead body of a man in the water on the west shore of I Utah lake about three miles from Pelican can Point The body was very much decomposed I but not so much so as to prevent It from being recognized as that of Albert Ern strom better known as Albert Hays he I having taken the name of his stepfather It has since transpired that two other young men were living with Hays and that neither of them have been seen for about four weeks There are those who affect to believe that they too have met the same fate as Hays and that their bodies may also aso be found In the lake A wagon and team is also missing and this ha led some to think that the fellows fel-lows who made away with the outfit are the murderers of young Hays A inuest was In progress v at Lehl yesterday but nothing of a substantial character ha develope up to the time of adjournment last evening Was Somewhat Eccentric Hays had been living at a ranch near Pelican Point for several years His mother learned about three weeks ago that the stock on the ranch was not being be-ing attended to and went from Eureka to make a Investigation and found the animals straying and no appearance of any one having been around for weeks She made arrangements for the care of the stock and left without Instituting any search for the missing boy I appears ap-pears that he was of somewhat eccentric eccen-tric disposition aiyj his mother came to the conclusion that he had got displeased about something and had left the ranch and would return when he felt so disposed dis-posed The disappearance of the other two young men who are cousins of the deceased de-ceased adds to the mystery The theory of the officers Is that all three have been murdered I is thought that Hays was killed first and that the others kie firt were putout put-out of the way In order to prevent their making the discovery of his death and raising an excitement that would lead to the Identification of the murderers In conformity with this theory the lake will be dragged near the place where Hays body was found Oliver A Slade the man wh has ha a land dispute with Hays is not suspected sus-pected by the officers He Is now In Lehl Hays body which was Qin an aJ vanced state of decomposition has cooppsiUon en 1 taken to Benjamin for interment t ti i h |
