Show ofcersRIH RICH PLACER DIGGINGS Gold Galore in Black Creek Elmore County Idaho A good many Idaho prospectors and miners are patiently awaiting the melt ing of the snow so that thev can resume re-sume work in the sluicing of the auriferous placers of the state among the number being D J McGirnis who according to the Boise Statesman has just arrived from Black Creek Elmore county Mr McGinnis informs the Statesman that he and his cousin J D McGinnis who have been prospecting placer ground there for about a month have discovered a streak of gravel of great richness Mr McGinnis says they panned along the streak for some time with results that caused a thrill of excitement torn to-rn through them He is of the belief that for the most part they secured 1 of gold to the pan He is satisfied he and his cousin can I make plenty of money even if they should not enlarge their method of operating beyond the panning process They propose however to ccnmence sluicing as soon a the boxes which are now being made can be placed In position Mr McGinnis says the gold is mostly coarse much of It being the size of wheat grains The strike was made in a small draw and the placer ground is oP limited extent but is richness is sufficient to overcome ant objection to the quantity Near the find is a ledge of quartz that Mr McGInnis and his cousin have located He found a piece that was sprinkled with gold He brought a sample of average ore from this ledge to Boise to be assayed Mr McGinnis confidently expects to obtain ample funds from the placer ground to fully develop this quartz ledge which he says gives great promise Silver and Lead Quotations The silver and lead quotations yesterday terday were as follows Western Union Bar silver 6 cents lead 305 casting copper 11 cent I United Press Bar silver 64 cents lead 325330 lake copper I 100Ore I Ore and Bullion Receipts The ore and bullion receipts yesterday yester-day were as follows Commercial National bank ores 7 410 410McCornick Co cyanides 19000 J Lt |
