Show AT RICHFIEID I This will be a great day for Richfield I Rich-field for today the completion of the railroad to that city is celebrated It means much to Richfield and Sevier county far more than those who have enjoyed railroad facilities for many years realize It is the leading city of Sevier county but It has been held I back for lack of transportation facilities facili-ties It has been compelled to go to Salina to put itself in communication with the world This will no longer be necessary With railroad faoilities we shall expect Richfield to become and soon one of the states leading towns It is the county seat of one of the thriftiest and naturally wealthiest counties we have Its population is i enterprising and hard working The work done by Sevier county in the i way of making canals and taking out J 1 1 a 0 c 11 water for irrigation purposes is unrivalled un-rivalled in Utah It was impossible that the railroad rail-road should 0 < touch all the towns in the county but the completion comple-tion of the road to Richfield will greatly aid Monroe Anabella Cove Elsinore and Joseph It will also help the mining industry at Marysvale and the settlements all the way up the river as far as Pan guitch Primarily it will help Richfield Rich-field but it will also hep Sevier county and the entire state We congratulate the people of Rich fieldon the advent of the railroad to their town we Congratulate the Rio I Grande Western upon its enterprise I and we wish both success and prosperity pros-perity I a 0 |
