Show FUNERAL Of DR fJ Ll MI CANNON HELD AT TH TAE ACJ YESTERDAY ATTEHN003ST Addresses Made By Elder Charles W Penrose Bishop G H Taylor and Bishop Hj rdy Resolutions I Funeral services over the remains of Dr Charles 1 Cannon were held in the tabernacle early yesterday afternoon after-noon the place of meeting having been changed from the Fourteenth ward meeting house in order to accommodate accommo-date the many friends of the deceased who were unable to get seats in the latter place Elder C W Penrose Bishop George H Taylor and Bishop Leonard Hardy paid worthy tribute to the deceased and offered consoling remarks to the afflicted family At the close of the service the large congregation arose and sang the doxology and the remains re-mains were consigned to mother earth seven brothers acting a pallbearers Dr Cannon was one of the most promising young men of this city He is a son of President George Q Cannon and graduated a short time ago from an eastern dental college going into business here upon his return He was just 30 years old The dental association of which Dr Cannon was a active member has passed resolutions of respect concerning concern-Ing his sudden demise The resolutions are a follows Whereas death ha removed from among us Doctor Charles M Cannon an honored member of the Utah Dental association and Vhereas it has been our privilege to observe his great worth in professional life a one of high attainments in civic life as a progressive intelligent broadminded citizen in private life asa as-a dutiful son an affectionate husband 3 loving father and a faithful friend Resolved that we the members of the said association hereby give expression ex-pression to our sense of loss and do extend to the bereaved family our sincerest sympathy Resolved that a copy of these resolutions reso-lutions be presented to the family published in the daily papers and a record of the same be spread upon the minutes of the association WILLIAM LEON ELLERBECK A SCOTT CHAPMAN WILLIAM H BUCHER Committee on Resolutions |
