Show Charity Entertainment Under the auspices of the Press club j and the Young Ladies Aid society of this city a series of six lectures will j be given at the Salt Lake theatre commencing February 1 and running I j run-ning through the five Sunday evenings even-ings following Each evenings entertainment I enter-tainment will consist of a lecture by one of our talented men or women i and four numbers by leading musicians musi-cians and vocalists under the directorship director-ship of Mr H S Krouse The programme for the first lecture is as follows Instrumental soloMr H S Krouse Soprano soloMiss Jennie Winston Lecture on Character I Judge C C Goodwin Tenor soloMr George D Pyper Violin solo Mr W H Clive The evenings entertainment for February 18 will be a discussion on Shall women have the right of suffrage suf-frage after Utah has been admitted asa as-a state by two of out talented women February 25 Prof Matthews of the University of Utah will lecture on Hypnotism March 4 Lieutenant Wright of the University of Utah will lecture on wU 01 Napoleon March 1 Judge O W Powers will lecture on Wonderland The musical programmes for these evenings will be announced later Among those who have volunteered to entertain are Mr F W King Miss Rosalia Morris Mrs Jennie Hawley Woo row Miss Belle Lucas Mr Wil 11 Tf lard Weihe and others The entire proceeds of these lectures are to go to charity and are to be dis bursed by the Young Ladies Aid society so-ciety I |
