| Show Explosion at Armours Works South Omaha OMAHA Feb 3Thcre was an explosion explo-sion at the ArmourCudahy Packing works South Omaha this morning in the boiler room outside the boiler of Cattery nine bursting from cause unknown I tore a great hole in the walls of the machinery department adjoining and about twentylive men were buried in the de bris The city fire department was summoned sum-moned and together with the employees of r 11 C 1T C the establishment soon quelled the flames and began the work of rescuing the unfortunates un-fortunates Three men were killed and seven badly injured some of whom will probably die These killed are John Tighe Hans Olson and John Linahan all firemen Seriously injured Edward Maskell James MciGuire Michael Hayle han James Black Al Hardy Samuel Gibson Gib-son J E Syoydan All these men suffered fered badly from cuts bruises and fractured hones and were scalded by the escaping steam It is likely three and perhaps per-haps four of them will die All the other men caught in the debris were taken out practically unhurt |
