Show National Bar Association CmcA00 Aug 28The National Bar association began it twelfth annual session here today The association was introduced intro-duced to the bar associations of the state and city by Hon Lyman Trumbull The national association was then welcomed by the presidents of the state and city associations associa-tions President David Dudley Field of New York replied and then read his annual address Aboutfour hundred prominent attorneys were present from all sections of the country coun-try After other introductory speeches President Field delivered his annual ad dress When he came t the passages on trusts and ballot reform he told the assemblage assem-blage that thee two subjects were the most importarit for its consideration Speaking of the relative merits of the Spcaltngofthe reJate merts system sys-tem qf annual sessions of legislature as I compared with the biennial system which it g d d eb had been adopted by all but eight sIr s-Ir Field gave his opinion strongly in favor of annual sessions Mr Fields address ad-dress was interesting throughout At its conclusion a long list of prominent lawyers Illinois and the surrounding states was nominated for admission to the association and theywere admitted Annual reports Imittd Annua rprts of other officersjwere submitted and two or three pipers read i |
