Show B TILE IDAHO CONVENTION Providing for Elections Under the New State Constitution BOISE CIT Idaho July 27Speciat telegram to Tun HERALD Mayhew asked unanimous consent to take up the addi tonal section to the report of tho commit tee on public and private corporations forbidding bidding > trusts No objection being made it was taken up and passed The report of the committee on the legis ative department as it had passed the committee I com-mittee of the whole was taken up in the I convention An effort was made to have hal the senators elected for four years the other half for two so that half will holdover hold-over lost A motion was carried to the effect that there be no secret sessions The report was adopted as a whole and ordered to bo engrossed I will come up on Monday Mon-day for final reading Ainslie read the following resolution Resolved That it is the sense of this convention vention that no election for any of the offi cers provided for in the constitution of the tate of Idaho shall be held until the said constitution is adopted by Congress and under the provisions of an act of Congress Con-gress Resolved That no United States Senators Sena-tors for the state of Idaho be elected until the convening of the first legislature elected under the provisions of the constitution I titution adopted by this convention Resolved That the judiciary committee bo and is hereby instructed to report a section in accordance with the foregoing resolution to be incorporated in the consti ution tuton Under the rule the foregoing resolutions went over till Monday During and immediately imme-diately after their reading Dubois was evidently excited Adjourned till Monday |
