Show THIRD DISTRICT GOU T K j Saturdays Proceedings Before Judgo Zane 1 The Third District courtroom was well attended all day yesterday by people peo-ple intent on gleaning all that was possible pos-sible to be learned from the testimony of the witnesses in the alleged sheep stealing case of The People vs Jeremiah L Whitehouse From the time court began its session until the hour for adjournment ad-journment arrived with the exception of the noon recess the witnesses were being questioned and crossquestioned by Mr Dickson for the prosecution and 1I1r Hoge for the defense Very ittle new of the case in addition to what has been published in THE HERLD was developed The prosecution rested in the afternoon when a motion to dismiss dis-miss the indictment was made and overruled The defense was begun rather late the defendant himself being on the stand when the Court at a few minutes to 5 oclock decided to adjourn until Monday There are yet two or three more witnesses to give evidence and it is probable that all day tomorrow tomor-row the jury will be persecuted by listening The D R G W Railway Company vs the D ti R G Railway Company order was made dismissing certain of the parties Frederick W Christensen was admitted ad-mitted to citizenship V |
