Show To C!di TliiFil h; By DAVE WIGHAM SOUTH SALT LAKE --Woods --Woods Cross girls were just too proud to drop two games in a row as the young Wildcats Wild-cats came from behind to whip Murray 49-46 to claim third place in the state 3A basketball tournament. THIRD place in the state for a team that starts three sophomores and two freshmen fresh-men is a great accomplishment accomplish-ment for the Wildcats. The night before the Cats had dropped a heartbreaking one-point game to Bear River and it appeared midway through the second half that they would be beaten for the second time in as many nights. DURING a time out however the players verbally agreed that they weren't about to lose two in a row and went out and outscored their opponents 19-11 in the final quarter to win third place. Murray led throughout the contest with the exception of the first and fourth quarters. At one time during the third period the Spartans held a 9 point advantage over the Cats.
