We've only got one term left to sweat it out. After winning tonight our star-studded girls basketball team will fight for the state championship tomorrow night. We'd like to congratulate congrat-ulate the girls on their 19-0 record. THIS year's team consists of Shelly Green, Chris Whet-ton, Whet-ton, Kathy Goodfellow, Denise Sorenson, Lisa Quilter, Tami Erickson, Wendy Zeigler, Stephanie Caputo, Linda Eames, Kellie Ferrin, Debbie Halford, Debbie Deb-bie Asper, Karen Eckmen, Sue Marchant, Kellie Richards, Debbie Peterson, Susan Knight, Patrice Mitchell, Sally Roberts and as coach, Lynn Dubois. They will undoubtedly be tops after the game tomorrow. Well Vikings we only have 48 more days that we can enjoy en-joy our days in school. In nine short weeks we will have to forfeit the opportunity of crawling out of bed at 6 a.m. and fighting our way to that glorious place called school. WE WILL lose the chance of gorging ourselves with the delicious lunches that melt in our mouths. Our minds will become frustrated because of the lack of homework. We will run around like chickens without heads because we have no pressures of term papers, reading assignments or grades. We will be bored with life, yes, bored with idleness. Bored with water skiing vacations, hikes, swimming, boating and more water skiing, ski-ing, especially bored with the long hours we are forced to sleep in. Wow, we can bore ourselves to death just pondering pon-dering the many dull moments that we will have to endure. WELL, about the only moral that can be derived from this queer little paragraph is that we need to enjoy school to the fullest and gain all the knowledge we can from it. (Uick!!) Hang in there Vikes, only 1036800 seconds till the end of school! |
