avery a-very good attendance and after transacting trans-acting routine business the order of installation was at hand when the lodge closed and admitted to the lodge room the large crowd which was waitIng wait-Ing and a very Interesting programme was rendered After the opening ode and prayer the grand lodge officers announced an-nounced themselves in readiness to install in-stall the following watchman Thomas Parker outside watchman Everything being in readiness readi-ness the installation was proceeded with in a way that was very creditable and showed the ability of the grand lodge officers Following the installation installa-tion Master Workman Williamson made a few very interesting remarks thanking the members for the honor bestowed on him and the members can look for a prosperous term with one so talented at the head and who has devoted a great deal of time to the good of the order Brother James Gallagher chairman of the entertainment committee was then Introduced and took charge by presenting the audience with a musical and literary programme as follows Song Miss Emma Jorgenson song John James duet Irene and Gertrude Kelly song Thomas Ashworth comic song George Margetts who responded to two encores duet Mrs and Miss LHlle Papworth recitations Miss Emma Em-ma Kelly and Mrs Craig dialogue Misses Bertha Barton and Emma Kelly Kel-ly song Mrs Hal Moore recitation Ed McLclland This concluded the pro gramme and the pleasant smiles of all present Indicated that a very enjoyable en-joyable evening had been spent and great praise was extended to the committee com-mittee for the hard work they did in getting up the programme and the manner in which they conducted the entertainment The committee wish to I extend their thanks to all who contributed con-tributed so ably in making the entertainment enter-tainment a complete success Speeches were not indulged in by the newly elected officers but at the next meeting meet-Ing they will have an opportunity of expressing themselves for the good of the order and when six months have elapsed the members will feei proud of their new officers and one more term will be added to the glories of the order Is St Jv Home Forum Salt Lake forum No 60S H F B O installed its officers Tuesday evening last for the ensuing term which in this order is for twelvemonths twelve-months The installing officer was Past President N J Sheckell who performed per-formed the ceremony in a dignified and impressive manner in keeping with the importance of the occasion A lady Mrs Atkinson was initiated and familiarized with the principles of honesty hon-esty fraternity benevolence temperance temper-ance and pariotism The president appointed an entertainment entertain-ment committee for this month and named the following companions to act Past President N J Sheckell Mrs I McKenzie and Mrs Atkinson The old entertainment committee consisting con-sisting of Companions Mrs Watrous Mrs Campbell Mrs Lawrence A B Fancy and Alexander were Invited to render what assistance they could to make the card party to be gjven Tuesday Tues-day evening Jan 24 a success It is expected that each member of this forum will constitute himself and herself a committee of one to see to it that everybody is invited The last card party proved such a success that all who participated desired another of the same kind
