Temple iasi aiuraay wnen Miss Pearl Helmer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Helmer of Chicago, 111., became be-came the bride of Wayne Hafen, son of Charles Hafen of Santa Clara. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Helmer Hel-mer accompanied their daughter here for the marriage. A wedding dinner for immediate family members was given at the home of the groom's father Sunday Sun-day afternoon, and on Monday evening the couple were honored with a reception at the Santa Clara ward hall, where a special program and dancing were provided. pro-vided. The program included community commun-ity singing of "Count Your Many Blessings"; prayer, by Harmon Hafen; duet, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Graff; reading, Mrs. Emil Gubler; vocal solo, Kenneth Tobler; humorous hu-morous skit, Mrs. Preston Hafen and Mrs. Marion Graff; solo, Mrs. Glenna Hafen; reading, Thora Hafen; vocal trio, Joseph Helmer, Mary Hafen and Mrs. Wayne Hafen; reading, Mrs. Lula Tobler-skit, Tobler-skit, Martha HafenJ Wanda Graff' Thora Hafen and Pauline Ence; jokes, Mrs. Loren Reber; solo' Joseph Graff; duet, Joseph Graff and John Hafen: Mary Hafen. Short talks were made by both bride and groom and by the parents par-ents of both people. Following dancing the social closed with prayer by Henry Graff. |
