Show Funeral Services Held December 17th For Ralph Whipple Funeral services were conducted by the East ward bishopric, Friday, Fri-day, Dec. 17th, at 3 p. m., in the St. George stake Tabernacle for Ralph Whipple, 37, who met death in a mill accident at the Whipple Lumber yards, Wednesday, Dec. 15, shortly after 5 p.m. Bishop Wilford Schmutz presided and conducted the services. The funeral music included two numbers, "I Know That My Re- , deemer Lives", and "My Prayer", I by . the Center ward choir, with Jay Huntsman, soloist for the first number; vocal solo, "Not Understood", by Leland Lamoreaux; Lamor-eaux; and violin solo, "My Peace I Leave With Thee", by Mrs. Edward Ed-ward Christian. Accompanying were Mrs. Bud Seegmiller, Mrs. Mae A. Pace and Lenzi Sullivan, Mrs. John L. Clarke assisting with conducting. Pres. Snow First Speaker Pres. Harold S. Snow was the first speaker and told of his association as-sociation with the family as ward bishop and of the deceaseds con- ; tributions to ward and school dramatics, and in priesthood ac- S tivities, as well as many days of j work on the South ward chapel j and on other church buildings; . of his willing and cheerful serv- , ice, and his great desire to do 1 1 good in spite of handicaps of : which few understood. Albert E. Miller, who has worked with the deceased on many buildings, paid tribute to his ability as a carpenter, and as a master mechanic in other lines, including the operation of electrical electri-cal machinery; of his love for good books, and his capacity to appreciate the finer things of life-Bishop life-Bishop Schmutz, as well as the other speakers, told of his devotion devo-tion to his wife, the former Ida Johnson, and her two small grandchildren, Jimmie and Penney, Pen-ney, to whom he has given the loving kindness of a father, and kindly care to his wife, who has been bedfast for more than Is months.
