Show Flyers Win Two and Lose Two In Practice Games Coach Lee Hafen's Flyers won two of four on their practice trip into Nevada lasi weeK enu. dui Coach is more jubilant over the experience his team obtained than he is mournful over the fact that he lost two games. Thursday afternoon the boys tripped Lincoln county high at Caliente 30-21 in a rough game. That night they lost to Alamo 20-25. The following night the Flyers downed Las Vegas in an extra-period game 31-29, but on Saturday they lost a thriller to Overton 18-19. Darrel Hafen and Donald Truman Tru-man did not make the trip, the former because of illness in the family, and the latter because of the mumps. The game with Alamo, originally origin-ally announced for the local gym tonight, has been postponed because be-cause of the illness of several Alamo players. The first league contest will be on the local floor January 7th with Parowan. |
